On August 19, 2023, the 22 competing startups in the Hult Prize for Fashion Revolution held their final pitch day of the season, in a presentation lasting 4 intense hours. The judges convened and deliberated on the following day, August 20th, deciding the six finalist startups winners of the $100,000 American dollars, who will compete one last time on September 22nd in Paris to win one million dollars. 

 

The winners who were mentored by Maelle  team are: Innovious Eco, Graff Inc, LabWear.

Fashion Meets Social Impact: The Hult Prize Global Accelerator Takes on the Fashion Industry

The participating startups in the Hult Prize Accelerator come from different stages of their entrepreneurial journeys. Some are still refining their groundbreaking ideas, while others are fine-tuning their prototypes. Many have already established themselves in the market. Regardless of their stage, all benefit from the program’s dynamic curriculum, which strikes a balance between a general education plan and a personalized experience for each startup.

The Hult Prize Global Accelerator empowers founders with a solid foundation in core business concepts, entrepreneurship principles, and social impact strategies applicable across industries. Additionally, tailored modules and up to nine weeks of startup-specific mentorship allow teams to delve deeper into their unique challenges, address industry-specific hurdles, and adapt to the dynamic market landscape.

The Hult Prize 2023 Global Finals which will take place on September 22, 2023, in Paris, France, at the Trianon Elysee Montmartre. It will feature various exciting activities, including keynote speeches, and networking opportunities. The finalists, representing the best of a global pool of 100,000+ student entrepreneurs will be pitching their companies and ideas to the judges and mentors.

Mentors are required to follow one or two finalist startups, guiding them through a two-and-a-half-month period of consultation and mentorship:

 

Phase 1: 

Digital Accelerator, from July 10th to July 20th. During this phase, each mentor is assigned one or two startups that align with their expertise. Qualifying criteria for Phases 3 and 4 include milestone-based progression, passing due diligence, and consensus from the judging panel.

 

Phase 2

August 19th to September 4th. There are 23 startups in this phase. All startups are invited to the Global Finals.

  • Goal: Prepare for travel arrangements, book flights, and assist finalists in printing their marketing materials.

Phase 3

Only six startups will be invited to the final round.

  • Goal: Prepare the six finalists for investment from Hult Prize and other sources, as well as prepare them for the Global Finals.

At the Global Finals, six teams pitch their social ventures to a panel of distinguished judges with the hopes of being selected as the next winner of the US $1,000,000 Hult Prize.​ The 2022 Global Finals has been held at the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting, with President Bill Clinton presenting the award and delivering a keynote speech. We also showcased the winners of the 2020 and 2021 Hult Prize.​

The path to becoming one of the Hult Prize Finals is rigorous and demanding. The selection process involves three crucial steps.

  1. First, teams must meet eligibility criteria by adhering to the program’s community guidelines, code of conduct, and attendance requirements while promptly completing all necessary submissions.
  2. Second, the startups undergo a comprehensive due diligence process to assess their viability, scalability, and potential social impact. Only the most promising ventures progress to the final stage.
  3. Finally, a panel of judges evaluates the startups’ overall performance throughout the six weeks of the digital program, ultimately determining the Final Six.
